Stuttgart signs coach Labbadia: contract until 2025

Bruno Labbadia is the new coach of VfB Stuttgart.
The 56-year-old signed a contract until June 30, 2025, as the Bundesliga club announced on Monday.
Labbadia is supported by Bernhard Trares, who joins VfB as an assistant coach.
Stuttgart - "As is well known, VfB is not just any club for me.
I spent a very important phase of my coaching career in Stuttgart for almost three years and now I want to help VfB stay in the Bundesliga,” said Labbadia, who coached Stuttgart between 2010 and 2013.
The Stuttgart team parted ways with coach Pellegrino Matarazzo on October 10 after almost three years.
Since then, assistant coach Michael Wimmer had looked after the team.
After the Labbadia commitment, the 42-year-old leaves the club.
"Now is the moment for me to take the next step and take on a new challenge," said Wimmer.
Only on Saturday did the Swabians sign Fabian Wohlgemuth, a new sports director, after Sven Mislintat left.
Wohlgemuth and Labbadia know each other from their time together at VfL Wolfsburg, when Wohlgemuth managed the youth division of Lower Saxony and Labbadia was under contract there as a coach.
