The MTR announced that due to the train failure of the Tseung Kwan O Line near the Tseung Kwan O Station, the service from Tiu Keng Leng to Lohas Park Station and Po Lam Station will be suspended.
The pictures on the Internet showed that the train was black and ablaze, and the passengers were evacuated after being instructed to get off the track.
The two women felt unwell in the accident and were conscious and sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment. It is understood that one of them is pregnant.

The MTR pointed out that because a train on the Tseung Kwan O Line broke down near the Tseung Kwan O Station, the service of the Tseung Kwan O Line is currently blocked, and there will be a 5-minute train between North Point and Tiu Keng Leng Station.
Services between Tiu Keng Leng and Lohas Park Station, and between Tiu Keng Leng and Po Lam Station are suspended.
MTR appeals to passengers to allow sufficient time for their journeys.
MTR staff are currently carrying out emergency repair work.
The MTR is currently providing two free shuttle buses to and from Tiu Keng Leng Station and Po Lam Station/Lohas Park Station, passing through various stations along the way; and one-way from Lohas Park Station to Tiu Keng Leng Station.
