Various poetic topics in the Autumn Poetry Festival in Qamishli

Al-Hasakah - SANA

On the stage of the Arab Cultural Center in Qamishli, the activities of the first day of the Autumn Poetry Festival, organized by the Directorate of Culture, the Writers Union branch, and the Safsaf Al-Khabour Cultural Association, kicked off on the stage.

And the head of the association's council, Ahmed Al-Hussein, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the poetry festival bore the name of the late poet George Saado, and 17 male and female poets participate in it, presenting poems written mostly with eloquent poetry, explaining that on the third and last day of the festival, paragraphs will be presented on the heritage in Al-Hasakah Governorate.

The poet Mounir Khalaf explained that he participated in three poems, one of which bore the title of his poetry collection (Kawa'eb min Cloud), while the poet Abdul Salam Al-Abusi indicated that he participated in a group of sentimental poems about the social and personal issues experienced by the citizen in Al-Hasakah Governorate.

The poet Alloush Assaf pointed out that he participated in three poems, most of which spoke about the homeland and the difficult conditions that the Syrian citizen is going through as a result of the unjust Western siege, while the poet Rawda Al-Muktif presented poems that carried with it the concerns of eastern women, and the challenges they face.

The festival's activities will continue tomorrow, with the participation of poets Faraj Al-Hussein, Fatima Atallah, Hawas Al-Ali, Ahmed Al-Huwaish, and Yassar Al-Habib.
