The Brazilian national team is currently sailing to the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the eighth time in a row.
The Selção, who have not won the world title since 2002, have passed the round of 16 in all tournaments since the loss to Argentina in 1990 and will do so again tonight (Monday) after a crushing and impressive four in 36 minutes against South Korea.
World runner-up Croatia awaits in the quarter-finals, when the match will be played on Friday at 17:00.
Brazil and Croatia have previously met four times, two of which were in the World Cup.
Kaka decided the meeting at the opening of the group stage in 2006 with a small 0:1 in Berlin, and eight years later Neymar scored a brace and was assisted by Oscar's goal in a 1:3 over Croatia in the opening match of the 2014 World Cup, after an own goal by Marcelo.
An exception to this was 1:1 in August 2005 in a friendly match and 0:2 in another friendly match at Anfield Stadium before the 2018 World Cup, when Neymar also found the net (together with Roberto Firmino).

Tita joined the dancing of the Brazilian players in the third goal and the commentator Roy Keane was angry: "I think it is disrespectful to dance like that after every goal. I didn't mind the dancing after the first goal, but not every time. It is disrespectful to the opponent. Even their coach was involved, I do not like this".

He had four at the home World Cup in 2014 and another two in Russia four years ago.
In doing so, he became the third Brazilian to score in three different World Cups, after Pele and Ronaldo.
* Neymar now has 76 goals in 123 matches for the national team - just one goal less than the all-time record, the legendary Pele who scored 77 goals in 92 international appearances.
* Neymar is now just two appearances away from Roberto Carlos and Dani Alves, who are second all-time with 125 games each.

* Brazil has not led by four goals in the first half in the World Cup since June 16, 1954, when they did it against Mexico in the group stage (0:5).

* This is the second time in the history of the World Cup that a non-Spanish player of Barcelona cooks for a non-Spanish player of Real Madrid.

* Thiago Silva became the oldest player to score a goal in the World Cup, at the age of 38 and 74 days.
He dispossessed the Cameroonian Roja Milla, who cooked in the 1990 World Cup when he was 38 years and 42 days old.
* Goalkeeper Alison recorded his first stop of the tournament in the 17th minute.
In the first two games, he was not at all in danger and in the loss to Cameron Ederson started between the posts.
