When it comes to superstition, athletes and fans often take unusual paths to success.

A trailer now has a very special requirement.

Wetzlar – athletes are sometimes very superstitious.

There have to be rituals in order to go into the game with a good feeling.

But that also applies to the fans.

On average, around 4000 spectators come to the home games of the handball Bundesliga club HSG Wetzlar.

In the eight home games of the current season, however, they had little to celebrate.

Only one home win is on record, on October 6th they beat TVB Stuttgart 32:24.

In addition, the HSG shared the points with FrischAuf Göppingen at 25:25 on September 24th.

Apart from that, defeats rained down.

The HSG is at the bottom of the home table with the same points as promoted ASV Hamm-Westfalen.

Even against "favourite opponent" THW Kiel, HSG Wezlar had nothing to report last Sunday (December 4) in their own hall.

Wetzlar lost 25:31 to the top team, which in recent years has often lost points in Wetzlar.

Incidentally, it was the first home game after the dismissal of coach Benjamin Maschke.

“The HSG hasn’t won a home game since you stood in our lucky parking lot”

For an HSG fan, the reason for the misery is not on the floor, as giessener-allgemeine.de writes.

A photo of a note hanging on a car is circulating on Instagram at "Notes Of Germany".

It reads, 'Could you please choose a different parking spot for the next home game?

HSG hasn't won a home game since you parked in our lucky parking lot."

This is not an unjustified demand, after all, HSG Wetzlar has to slowly collect points in order not to become even more deeply involved in the relegation battle.

With the change of coach, the HSG has already drawn the toughest sporting conclusion, but there still seems to be a need for optimization in front of the hall.

The next chance for a home win for HSG Wetzlar is on December 18, when the Rhein-Neckar Löwen from Mannheim are guests.

It remains to be seen whether the HSG fan will then be able to park his team again for a home win.

A parking space as a trump card in the fight against relegation is a novelty in German handball history.
