Starnberg – A beautifully decorated Christmas tree, stocked with numerous wish lists, once again adorns the entrance to the Raphael pharmacy in the town of Starnberg.

Also this year, the pharmacy would like to do something good together with many volunteers for children and seniors in the district who live below the poverty line.

The idea behind the campaign is to grant people who cannot afford it themselves a wish for Christmas.

To this end, the pharmacy distributed a total of 132 wish lists to four different social organizations this year.

The institutions pass the wish lists on to people in need, who then write down their name, gender, age and the institution as well as their Christmas wish.

These are gifts in kind worth up to 40 euros or voucher requests from shops in Starnberg.

Since last week, the wish lists have been hanging on the almost 2.20 meter high fir tree, waiting to be fulfilled.

Promotion runs until December 19th

Anyone who wants can now choose a piece of paper, get the desired item and hand it in a gift wrapped in the Raphael pharmacy in Josef-Jägerhuber-Straße 7 until December 19th.

The note should be attached to the outside of the package so that the gifts can be distributed to the respective institutions from December 20th.

Lego, dolls or even pans

The Starnberger Tafel and Caritas were allowed to distribute 23 wish lists to senior citizens this year.

50 wish lists come from children of Progress in Starnberg and another 51 from children who depend on the weekly food distribution at the Starnberger Tafel.

Eight wishes can also be granted for the mother-child house in Gilching this year.

“Many senior citizens want a CD with hits, new pans or cosmetic products.

The children are often happy about Lego or dolls," says Raphael Felber, the initiator and owner of the pharmacy.

"The campaign is now well established," says Felber happily.

But even if not all the slips of paper are taken by December 19th, nobody will go away empty-handed: "Of course, our top priority is that all wishes are fulfilled," explains the owner.

The Raphael pharmacy and Felber themselves take on some of the gifts.

But the Karl and Maria Liebich Foundation in Starnberg, which has been helping people who are socially disadvantaged for several years, also contributes with donations to fulfill all wishes.
