With the participation of 50 children suffering from cancer, the Syrian Society for Childhood Cancer and Care, in cooperation with the Church of the Virgin Mary of the Syriac Orthodox in the Nazareth neighborhood of the city of Hasakah, carried out an entertainment activity that included presenting cartoon shows and games, in addition to distributing gifts to all participating children.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the director of the association's branch, Kinan Bakro, stated that today's activity comes within the framework of the association's interest in children with childhood cancer, investing in Christmas and New Year's celebrations, distributing Santa Claus gifts to the participating children, spreading joy among them and mitigating the side effects of their treatment.
The mother of the child, Muhammad Amin, who suffers from eye cancer, thanked all the parties involved in this activity for his great role in improving the general condition of children, spreading joy among them, and securing a safe space for them to forget the injury, and relieve them of the pain of treatment.
The father of the little girl, Rinas Obaid, who has leukemia, called for increased attention to children, especially those with cancer, and to work on following them continuously. Today, children lived in an atmosphere of joy with the gifts Santa Claus gave them, expressing his happiness with the joy experienced by the children, which was evident to everyone.
