Chinese academic experts have discovered a stone tablet estimated to be more than 700 years old in Longyao County, North China's Hebei Province.
Xinhua news agency quoted experts as saying: The painting dates back to the Yuan Dynasty between 1271-1368 and is 1.52 meters high, 0.76 meters wide and 0.26 meters thick. It is made of blue stone and has 18 lines of clear letters engraved on its front side.
Guo Yingjie, an academic specializing in literature and history in Longyao County, pointed out that the discovery of this painting is of great importance in the study of the history of civilization in the Yuan Dynasty.
