The symposium held today by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, in cooperation with the Tax and Fees Authority, focused on the mechanism of the electronic linking system for taxpayers in the food sector in the Chamber with the Tax Authority and how to implement it.
Participants in the symposium, which was held in the lecture hall of Dar Al-Baath in Damascus, presented the details of technical work in industrial facilities in light of the application of the system, including how to calculate the consumer spending fee, amend invoices and cost statement, export invoices, and other points related to sales and how to process returns and balances with customers. And how to effectively calculate debt and profit rates for industrialists.
The Director General of the Authority, Munther Wannous, pointed out the importance of the symposium to meet the industrial actors, to find out the issue of electronic connectivity, which entered into force as of the beginning of this month, indicating that all establishments have carried out the electronic connection or within the framework of implementing the linking procedures.
Wannous indicated that the symposium aims to clarify some issues related to expenses, the method of registration, and the recent instructions that regulate the process of distribution and sale in the Secretariat, pointing out that the Authority is communicating with the Chambers of Industry and the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, to follow up on the issue of electronic linking with all its details, which is a step by the Ministry to enhance tax justice among taxpayers. Reducing tax evasion and limiting human intervention and taxation on the net profits achieved by the establishment.
The head of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Ghazwan al-Masri, pointed out what the chamber is doing to facilitate and alleviate all the difficulties facing industrialists during the linking process with the Tax Authority, pointing out that there are several introductory seminars that the Chamber will hold in cooperation with the Tax Authority for all other industrial sectors during the coming period.
For his part, Chamber Vice President Talal Qalaji pointed out the importance of the symposium in terms of clarifying how the process of linking with the tax administration is made, so that a new phase is entered after dispelling the concerns of industrialists and applying the law correctly, to end tax evasion and the need for industrialists to submit their data correctly and adopt the correct mechanism that costs by the Tax Authority for Industrialists.
