Modern Warfare II Multiplayer & Warzone 2.0 Trailer (Activision)

As every year we received the new Call of Duty, only this year one of the biggest claims is not necessarily the lack of innovations in the series (in this sector we are sorted, don't worry), but the high price tag attached to Activision's Triple Eye game.

So is this game worth its price?

The answer (my) at least - is yes.

And of course I will explain.

But first, some background

Call of Duty is a brand that has always glorified realism.

The realistic feeling of a battlefield or the intimacy behind enemy lines, and I'm not just talking about the single player.

Call of Duty's biggest competitor has always been Battlefield and when Activision and the multitude of keys that work with it didn't deliver the goods, that was the address.

Unfortunately, Battlefield is a brand that has stopped supplying the goods for quite a few years, because quite simply it deviated from the basis that made it what it is - a real battlefield with broken walls and horrors of war all around.

When Battlefield tried to be Call of Duty, it just didn't work.

Back to the glory days

In 2019 we finally got the return to Modern Warfare, in my opinion the best Call of Duty series, from the best developer (Infinity Ward), and what an amazing game we got.

Two games since then, even if Call of Duty is a brand that sometimes decides to try to deviate a little from the usual realism, it still remains Call of Duty and does not lose its identity.

Sometimes it succeeds (eg Black Ops) and sometimes it doesn't (Vanguard, for example).

Since then, you can say that Activision were greedy, and they tried to suck more money from us for more bad games from the same brand, and they had to do a house check. What to do, Black Ops and Vanguard weren't crowd pleasers. Activision screwed up their beloved brand, bringing us bad games we don't want or need. Failure.

Now the baton has returned to Infinity Ward, and Activision has realized that it needs to invest in the game properly, and continue to invest in it if they make it an ongoing multiplayer.

And this is the game I wanted!

It's time!

I was so hoping (and knew inside) that they would give us MW 2019, but insanely improved.

And there is nothing to say - MW II is simply amazing.

Let's put the negative aside

Although I enjoyed it, when MW II first came out it was completely broken.

A collection of bugs that made it very difficult to play, and a UI that only they there understand.

Adding a friend was a more difficult task than forming a government, and the servants - God forbid.

How do you release such an expensive game, in such a broken way, when it is known that there is crazy anticipation for the game?

On the other hand, I'm also pretty sure they didn't expect there to be such a rush to the game.

So I waited for them to solve the bug box to give a proper review.

And now for the game itself.

I will divide the review into parts and say that with this amount of content in one game - I understand why you would price it like that.

Plus the promise that they won't release another game for two years and will only work on this.

The main campaign

If there's one thing Call of Duty is known for, it's its beautiful campaigns.

All past games, including MW 2019 and also in the current case.

The plot of Modern Warfare 2 continues the previous game, and we follow Captain Price (the one and only) who runs the 141st Operations Unit, in an attempt to locate the commander of the Iranian forces that threatens the US with missile attacks.

MW II offers a diverse campaign that is amazingly narrated, and even the hunt for Suspects in the game puts you in the depth of the experience. Although it is not very long (around 8-9 hours), but it is full of types of missions and full of different experiences. The play of the characters is also excellent and everything feels super real. Activism has always been good at this. I recommend playing the levels The difficulty, that way every decision you make will really have meaning. And the

graphics? So beautiful it's amazing. The details and fidelity to reality are amazing. The internet has already been enthusiastic about the mission in the streets of Amsterdam, and how much the game reminds the real thing.

Multiplayer

The various mods are back in territory conquest battles and deathmatches.

In this the game has always been good, only that the pace this year feels very precise.

Besides that, one of the things I like to hear the most is that the streamers just don't get along with the game.

Infinity Ward built this Call of Duty (including Warzone 2, we'll get to that) for casual gamers, dads with kids, people who don't have time and have real jobs.

No more slide and cancel for example - thank God.

The jumping players do not get a significant advantage in the game anymore.

It is true that there will always be loopholes and what to exploit, but this game feels much more "realistic" (as much as possible).

The dive jump was also added, which is nice to use occasionally.

The game runs at 120 frames on consoles and still maintains impressive graphics.

There are mods that also remind us a bit of Battlefield like Ground War or Invasion, and they are especially fun.

Co-Op

A new mod that will allow you to take a friend with you and simply play with him in 3 long and beautifully structured missions.

What I like about this mod is that the AI is smart, tough, and challenges you.

It feels like an action movie that starts with stealth but ends with speeding cars with helicopters after you.

I would be happy for more missions and variety, maybe in the future.

2019's co-op in comparison was not as enjoyable.

Here we built the mode for working and thinking in a team, and it is very rewarding.

Now we come to the free mods, but those who bought the game have a serious advantage of weapons and their customization.

As for skins and such.

DMZ

Teams of three players entering a war zone where you will encounter mostly smart and tough AI (bots), but also other teams of real players.

The goal is to complete missions and spend expensive equipment that will give you money and weapons in future times or for the game in general.

For example, the M13 can only be obtained there and it is a serious film because everyone is running to it and it is anyway in a really difficult area.

A cool m-m-s mod that I was happy to receive.

And the highlight: Warzone 2.0

The battle royale I've been waiting for!

I really liked the previous Warzone and its first map Wardansk.

Then when COD changed hands everything there was screwed, and we also got a bad map with nothing to expand on.

Now we got a new map - El Mazra.

A simply excellent map because it is right in the middle between Verdansk full of buildings, and the bad caldera which was too open areas.

This time we also have enough buildings to hide in and do Loot in addition to open areas (against campers who are just hiding).

The Loot itself has also become very smart, because now we collect things from more logical places, for example children from shelves in stores and money from cash registers in supermarkets.

We will add to this the system of battles in the water that they added: diving under water and also battles in boats.

It adds so much interest.

I was in the last zones that closed on water and it was psychotic.

There are also more types of vehicles and helicopters and more hidden locations with interesting Loot.

One of the things I didn't like is the loadout (the weapons and customization we made in advance).

It is very difficult to get Loadout, because there is not enough and everyone goes to it.

It opened at a relatively late stage and it is no longer worthwhile to go, because the risk is not always worth it.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 (photo: official website, Activision)

Added more missions with AI soldiers that give equal Loot and even Loadou, but even there we will be really exposed, and the bots are relatively difficult.

Huge risk to do such tasks, but still nice to have.

The thing for me in Warzone 2.0 is the new chat (Proximity Chat).

Thanks Activision!

If you are on the game's chat and you are relatively close to the enemy, you will hear them talking.

Conversations that can go anywhere start from here!

From curses, to soulful conversations, pleas, to players who will volunteer to be your Uber driver (for money, of course).

One of the more welcome additions is the ability to join a team that is missing a player or two.

It all depends on where the conversation goes.

For players who stream it's gold.

Warzone 2.0 can be played singles, pairs, threes and squads (fours).

And even added a third person mode.

In conclusion

I tried to summarize all the main aspects in a nutshell, and I think you understood that I highly recommend this year's Call of Duty.

Despite its high price, those who play it regularly (especially online), will play it for a very long time, and it justifies its price in my opinion.

But those who are only looking for the campaign - it's amazing.

But alone not worth the price.

Put it on your waiting list and wait for the deals.

I was at peace.
