Donuts are the thing when Hanukkah comes, and let's face it - they are one of the foods we like the most even just everyday.
On the occasion of the upcoming holiday, get a recipe for baked fur donuts from Hali Meman, the founder of the support network for a healthy lifestyle, that will make your heart happy - and with fewer calories than any fried doughnut.
Component:
3 cups of flour
¾ cup of lukewarm water
25 grams of yeast (half a bag) or a tablespoon of dry yeast
3 tablespoons of sugar
a bag of vanilla sugar
2 small eggs
2 tablespoons of canola oil
1 tablespoon of cognac
1/4 teaspoon of salt
canola oil spray to lubricate the pan
To fill:
Strawberry jam without sugar or any other jam, according to taste
Instructions:
1. Put the flour, yeast and sugar in the mixing bowl, mix lightly and add the rest of the ingredients (except the salt) and put for about 10 minutes.
Towards the end of the kneading, add the salt.
2. Transfer the dough to a bowl greased with oil spray, cover and let it rise until it doubles in volume.
3. After the dough has risen, put it to remove the air, and divide the dough into 36 equal balls.
4. Spray a baking tray or a socket tray with oil spray, and arrange the balls at intervals of about 4-5 centimeters from each other, because they swell.
Cover and rise again for about 20-30 minutes.
5. Preheat a baking oven to 180 degrees and bake the donuts for about 10 minutes until golden.
6. Fill the donuts with jam using a syringe and sprinkle powdered sugar on top - and serve.
