The National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has issued a plan that promotes the role of information and technology in the development of traditional Chinese medicine, and encourages the establishment of smart hospitals for it.
Xinhua said that the plan includes detailed measures to enhance the role of information and technology in the development of traditional Chinese medicine, as a special information system will be established that works in coordination with the country's health and medical care mechanism with the aim of providing more benefits and convenience to people by 2025.
The agency indicated that the plan encourages the establishment of smart hospitals for traditional Chinese medicine across the country, promotes online medical services and pharmacies, promotes flexible transfer of patients between medical centers, and the sharing of laboratory reports, examinations and other services between traditional Chinese medicine hospitals.
