This is not the first time that television has shown an interest in Giggenhausen.

Christopher Griebel from München TV was a guest at the Metzgerwirt on Monday.

Giggenhausen

- His interlocutors for the program "Stammtisch" in the Wirtsstube were Verena Fiedler, chairwoman of the Giggenhauser Maibaumverein and leading actress in the latest film by the Fürholzen local researcher, book author and filmmaker Ernst Keller, who was also present, and Christoph Aichinger, board member of the "Dorfwirtschaft Giggenhausen eG" cooperative .

In the 45-minute program, Griebel reported on the exciting rescue of the butcher's inn, which was threatened with closure, and explained how Keller's homeland and documentary film "Forgotten Stories from Unglorious Times" was also not created every day.

Verena Fiedler slipped into the female lead

As is well known, Keller's film, which was made parallel to the book of the same name, was staged with the help of the Giggenhausen theater group.

In particular, it was about a gang of robbers who were up to mischief in Massenhausen and the surrounding area in the middle of the 19th century.

Verena Fiedler – better known to most people by her maiden name Schuhbauer – embodied the female lead.

"Because I can read and write," as she answered one of Christopher Griebel's whimsical and cunning questions with a wink.

Good to know

The first broadcast of Griebel's shoot at Metzgerwirt Giggenhausen is scheduled for Thursday, December 8 at 10 p.m. on Munich TV.

Dates for the repetitions have not yet been set.

The report can also be accessed in the broadcaster's media library.
