A green wave in Europe: Germany's railway company announced the reduction of the use of disposable tools.
According to the "Deutsche Bahn" announcement, starting next year train passengers in Germany will be able to order coffee in a porcelain or glass cup.
Reusable cups, bowls and plates will be offered at no extra charge.
The current plastic cutlery will still be available to those interested.
The change fits into the new procedures that will come into effect in Germany starting January 1.
According to the procedures, restaurants and cafes will be required to offer their products for "take away" in reusable utensils.
The disposables will not be banned, but there will be an obligation to offer the reusable alternative.
"Deutsche Bahn" also stated that in order to reduce its share in pollution, starting in March more than half of the dishes on the train will be vegetarian or vegan.

The German announcement came after France received permission from the European Commission at the end of the week to cancel the short flights between some of the destinations that are connected by railways.
In the first phase of the plan, flights between Orly Airport in Paris and Nantes, Lyon and Bordeaux will be cancelled.
If after three years the program is crowned with success, additional internal flight routes will be canceled.
The plan is an implementation of the new climate law, according to which flights between destinations between which the train journey takes less than two and a half hours should be sought.
The Netherlands is also joining the trend.
The CEO of the KLM airline urged passengers to use the train instead of the plane for short trips. The goal: to reduce carbon emissions. "If you have a good alternative, use it, Marianne Rintel told the Financial Times. "If you are serious about your environmental goals, The train is not a competitor. We must work together."
