New episode in the standoff between the president of Ile-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) Valérie Pécresse and the government over the financing of transport.
This Tuesday morning, the Minister of Transport Clément Beaune assures that there "will be state support" in the face of the increase in the Navigo pass, while calling "for everyone's responsibility".

"Yes there are discussions, yes the State will help", assured the minister on RTL, specifying that he "wishes that there is no significant increase because I think that it would not be sustainable in the period of inflation that we are living through".

Currently sold at 75.20 euros per month, the price of the monthly Navigo pass could indeed increase to 90 euros, and that of the unit metro ticket from 1.90 to 2.30 euros if IDFM did not find new sources of financing. .
These price increases must be voted on at the next board of directors of Ile-de-France transport, on December 7.
