Argentina national team players celebrate victory over Mexico (Instagram)
Cristian Romero started the 2022 World Cup in a shaky way, with a bad performance in Argentina's sensational loss to Saudi Arabia in the opening group stage, but since then he has recovered, been a part of the Albiceleste's three consecutive victories and has gone viral due to the unique way he chose to celebrate goals and saves.
It started in the second round against Mexico.
Romero got up from the bench in the 69th minute, five minutes after Lionel Messi's goal, and in the 87th minute he ran to celebrate with Enso Fernandez who scored for the first time in the team and made it 0:2.
While everyone is embracing the bond, boyfriend Coty showed love in his own way: with a kick in Fernandez's butt.
Sharp-eyed spectators spotted from the stands that this show of affection was repeated in extra time against Australia in the Round of 16 last night. Emiliano Martinez made a great save to prevent overtime, and after receiving kisses from Nicolas Otamendi and Fernandez while holding the ball on the grass, the goalkeeper saw Romero coming and thanked him with a soft kick.

The one who has not yet received a kick from Romero in this tournament (or at least not one that was caught on camera) is the captain Messi, who after the 1:2 in the round of 16 complimented him: "Who would I give up the man of the match award for? It's hard to name one player, but if I had to then Coty Romero. He stands out and is experienced on the field."

Tottenham fans also joined the trend and showed how even in the close relationship with Jung Min Son, his best friend in the group, the 24-year-old Argentinian stopper shows love in a somewhat aggressive way.
He used to pull hair and punch a South Korean, who also learned to hit back.
Who will get to receive this love in the quarter finals?
