The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, announced today that a drone carried out an attack near the Kursk airport in western Russia, which led to a fire in an oil tank.
“An oil tank caught fire as a result of a drone attack near Kursk Airport, without any casualties,” Starovit said on his Telegram channel, TASS news agency quoted.
Starovoit noted that all emergency services are working at the scene.
Yesterday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the downing of Ukrainian marches targeting Diaghilev airports in the Ryazan province and Ingles in the Saratov military province, killing three Russian military personnel.
It is noteworthy that Kursk Airport has been subject to a flight ban, along with many Russian airports in the central and southern regions of the country, since the 24th of last February, after the start of the Russian special military operation to protect Donbass.
