Last TV appearance: Ireen Sheer fights back tears with Florian Silbereisen

As early as November 2021, Ireen Sheer announced her career.

Now, a year later, the time has come.

Her appearance at the "Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights" was her last TV appearance as a pop singer.

Suhl – Florian Silbereisen invited again to his annual “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights”.

Ireen Sheer was also there - for the very last time.

In January 2023, the pop singer ended her career, a farewell that was obviously difficult for her.

Every year Florian Silbereisen attracts an audience of millions with the "Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights" in front of the TV screens.

And as you are used to from the hit star, the guest list was top-class again this year.

On stage are among others: Roland Kaiser (70), Andy Borg (62), Matthias Reim (65), Maite Kelly (42), Anna-Carina Woitschack (30) and Ireen Sheer.

It was a very special TV show for Ireen Sheer.

Because the Advent festival should be the last Eurovision show in which she appears as a pop singer.

In a red velvet dress, she enters the stage and performs several songs - including hits like "Tonight I have a headache", "Feuer" or "Tennessee Waltz".

Then she chats with Florian Silbereisen and talks very emotionally about her hit career.

For the last time, Ireen Sheer turns directly to the TV viewers: "I could talk to you all evening because it's just so beautiful," said the pop singer, deeply touched.

“The reason I sing at all is only for my beloved audience.

And I will miss you so much.

You can't even imagine.

I'm really crying inside."

Emotional words from Ireen Sheer and her fans will miss her too.

But it's not quite over yet, because Ireen Sheer is currently on tour.

She will give her last concert on January 12 in Berlin.

Actually, Ireen Sheer wanted to celebrate her farewell in January 2023 with Florian Silbereisen.

But the "Schlagerchampions" will probably have to be canceled, instead the ARD shows "The big hit farewell".

There, Jürgen Drew's career-off is the focus.
