The "emergency meeting" held yesterday (Tuesday) by the opposition factions against the intention to transfer enrichment studies in the schools to the hands of the designated deputy minister Avi Maoz, and the statements he made about the promiscuity of the education system, the army, democracy and, in fact, the entire country, are only the beginning of a campaign of empty and promiscuous cries and chants that will be seen in the coming years of a camp that until a moment ago called itself, inflated with self-importance, the "healing and reunification" camp.

If there is anyone who has taught the entire political system a lesson in what government rapacity, lack of statesmanship and imposing an agenda without the slightest consideration for those who were forced to temporarily retire to the opposition, it is the exact same camp.

They did not consider the opposition then, but are bitterly embarrassed when the new government does not treat them now.

The harsh statements sound rather hollow when they are heard from someone who only a moment ago passed a controversial gas agreement with Lebanon, and claimed that he is not bringing it to the Knesset for approval because "the opposition is irresponsible".

After all, beyond the public visibility of a failed, long and careless negotiation, it is the passage of time that brings the incoming opposition to increase its attacks and apply pressures that are now shaking the future coalition.

Instead of being forced to talk to the commissioner and demand that he not appoint senior police officials without him, Ben Gvir could have already been the minister of internal security two weeks ago. And so were the other designated ministers. The fact that as of now the prime minister is Lapid, who serves with the other ministers of the change government, is at the forefront And first of all, the failure of those who are going to replace them shortly.
