On video: Pure evil: Police searched for weapons in the north - and found a neglected dog kennel (police spokeswoman)
During a search for weapons and means of warfare yesterday (Monday) in the village of Shibli in the north, seven starving and neglected dogs were found in a pen.
The dogs were rescued from the scene and taken for veterinary treatment.
One dog is in critical condition, after being poisoned, he did not survive and died on the way to treatment.
The dogs were tied and surrounded by dirt, scraps, glass and tar.
They were emaciated and without access to food and water.
The police called to the scene the members of the veterinary services and the inspectors of the Central Enforcement and Investigations Unit (PISUH) at the Ministry of Agriculture. An inspection revealed that the dogs are not vaccinated and are not registered. Most of the dogs found at the scene are of the bull terrier breed, which is defined as a "dangerous breed", and various restrictions are imposed on its breeding and maintenance .

Among the dogs found were a female with two puppies - something that raised the suspicion that the place was used to breed and sell dangerous dogs.
This activity is prohibited by law regulating the supervision of dogs.
The dogs were evacuated by the police and Ministry of Agriculture inspectors to a protected facility of the Ministry of Agriculture, to continue receiving medical treatment and rehabilitation.
The owner of the paddock was summoned for questioning.
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes that there are many dogs waiting for a warm home in associations and official kennels.
If you still choose to buy a dog, you must make sure that the puppy came from regulated and supervised breeding sites, and not lend a hand to pirate breeding sites like the one that was exposed yesterday.
Also, the Ministry of Agriculture reiterates and calls on the general public to continue to report any case in which there is a suspicion of harming the welfare of animals, to the Ministry of Agriculture hotline available 24/7, by calling *6016.
