The footballer of the Cameroonian team Samuel Eto'o attacked a fan who approached him with a camera on the outskirts of the 974 stadium in Doha last Monday, after the match between Brazil and South Korea in the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Los Angeles newspaper La Opinión has published a video in which the footballer is seen kicking a fan who was recording him with a camera.
The journalist who witnessed the scene, Ricardo López, has analyzed in
El Larguero
the moment of the attack with the images for Universo Mundial.
"Suddenly I saw how Eto'o began to exchange words with him and to chase him," he recounted.
In the video you can see how they try to hold the footballer so that he does not hit him while another man takes the camera from the fan.
The man steps back and at that moment Eto'o manages to get free and kicks him in the head.
The journalist says that when he went to see what had happened and why Eto'o had gotten so angry, he confronted him: "He seemed angry because I had witnessed everything and he wanted to take my cell phone from me."
