She was gullible and fell for a now very well-known scam: thieves stole jewelry and coins worth 50,000 euros from a senior citizen from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area through a so-called shock call.
District - The scam with shock calls is well known - and yet gullible people fall for it again and again.
Fraudsters have now made good loot in this way in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area.
According to a press release from the Oberbayern Süd police headquarters, an elderly woman gave them jewelry and gold and silver coins with a total value of around 50,000 euros.
The criminal police took over the investigation into the previously unknown perpetrators.
On Monday there was another wave of shock calls
Several cases of fraudulent calls were reported in the district on Monday.
In most cases, those affected were confronted with fictitious traffic accidents that a relative is said to have caused.
According to the story of the crooks, in order to avoid a prison sentence, a high bail had to be paid immediately.
