The mills of the authorities sometimes grind slowly.

Even ten years after a black building was discovered on the site of a car workshop in Ohlstadt, it is still unclear whether the warehouse needs to be demolished.

Ohlstadt

- It was a discovery of a special kind: in 2012, the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district office in Ohlstadt found during an inspection that there was a illegal building on Hörnleweg.

How the district authority found out about the warehouse remained open at the time.

A spokesman left unanswered the question of whether employees were accidentally in the area in question or whether a tip was being followed - for data protection reasons.

TÜV and washing hall planned

The Schwarzbau is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, if you will.

The storage room is still standing, outside, in the grounds of "Sagi's Garage", the workshop of Simon Sagmeister, who used to be a councilor for the BVO.

And even after a decade, it is still unclear whether he has to remove the black building.

In recent years, the question has repeatedly arisen as to whether the development plan for the “Northeast of Breitenweg” area should be expanded.

The municipal councilors recently discussed the rules again.

The objections and comments sent in by the so-called public interest bodies were discussed.

And lo and behold: The plan is now actually being changed, the corresponding statutes have been adopted.

This creates the legal planning basis for a TÜV and car wash hall on the premises of the motor vehicle company,

says Mayor Christian Scheuerer (independent).

"There were no major objections, it was very unspectacular." However, the head of the town hall emphasizes: "Nothing has changed in the black building." The plan change did not legitimize it.

Whether the unauthorized warehouse has to be demolished is a matter for the district authority.

"The district office has to do what it thinks is right." Why didn't it order the demolition of the black building ten years ago?

"That's beyond my knowledge," says Scheuerer.

"That's beyond my knowledge," says Scheuerer.

The district authority justifies it like this: "The community negotiated for a long time with the owners of properties that are outside the development plan 'Northeast of Breitenweg'," says spokesman Stephan Scharf.

"It was about the question of whether and which plots of land could be included in this development plan or even specifically planned over." The district office no longer had to take up the question of removing the building because a concrete solution to the problem via municipal land use planning became apparent .

Application not yet available

To date, the district authority has not received a Sagmeister application for a TÜV and washing facility.

"But the district office has already asked the client for a written statement." He then announced that he would submit a building application through the Ohlstadt municipality.

According to Scheuerer, no documents have been received there either.

Should the district office approve the TÜV and washing hall one day: What will happen to the black building then?

Does it have to be demolished then?

Scharf cannot say anything specific about this: "After receipt of the announced building application, the district office will be able to finally assess whether and which buildings can be approved."

It is unclear whether Sagmeister is currently sticking to its plans for a TÜV and washing hall.

He did not want to comment on the demand of the daily newspaper.

The master mechanic had already submitted an application to the municipality a few years ago.

This provided for the demolition of the black building and the construction of a new 12 by 14 meter washing and TÜV hall.
