The meeting was initiated by the "second gentleman", Douglas Emanhof, the husband of the US Vice President, Kamala Harris, who is Jewish.
The nature of the gathering will be that of a round table and it will be attended by Jewish leaders from all streams, and senior government officials.

At a public event on Friday, Emanhof said that "Every day it gets worse. The Jews of our generation have not experienced this level of anti-Semitism.
