Lee Cheuk-ren, the former chairman of the Stake Association, is awaiting trial for the crime of "inciting others to subvert state power" in violation of the "Hong Kong National Security Law".

After the co-defendant He Junren's application for bail was approved earlier, Li Jin (6th) also applied to the High Court for bail. After the National Security Law designated judge Chen Qingwei heard the statement, he refused to release Li Zhuoren on bail.

The 4 defendants in the case include: Stake Association, Li Zhuoren (64 years old, a trade union officer), He Junren (69 years old, a lawyer), and Zou Xingtong (37 years old, a lawyer). On the 8th, inciting others in Hong Kong to organize, plan, implement, or participate in the implementation of illegal means aimed at subverting state power, that is, overthrowing or undermining the fundamental system of the People's Republic of China, or overthrowing the central government of the People's Republic of China.

Among them, He Junren was previously granted bail with a total of 1.1 million yuan in cash and persons.

In addition, Zou Xingtong posted on a social platform a few days ago, saying that he received a letter from the Department of Justice requesting that the case be tried without a jury, and put forward three reasons, including the fact that the case has foreign-related elements, protecting the personal safety of jurors and their families, and If a trial is held with a jury, there is a real risk that the proper administration of justice may be impeded.
