"Thank you, Germany" - Video shows Gepard tanks in action against Russian cruise missiles

Gepard anti-aircraft tanks in action: Ukrainian armed forces have released a video (here a screenshot) which, according to the military, shows a Russian cruise missile being shot down by a German-made Gepard anti-aircraft tank.

There were a number of delays in the delivery of the Gepard tanks to Ukraine.

A video now shows a German cheetah in action.

Kyiv - There were long discussions about heavy weapons and tank deliveries in the Ukraine war.

The focus again and again on Gepard anti-aircraft tanks.

The Ukrainian Air Force has now posted a video on Facebook which, according to the military, shows the launch of a Russian cruise missile.

The main actor in the 26-second clip: a German-made Gepard anti-aircraft tank.

The cheetah is shown in a pose in a field.

In the foreground is a soldier with his back to the camera.

In the short scene, the tank fires shots.

Shortly thereafter, there is a glaring explosion in the sky.

Then the hit object falls in a curve to the ground.

"The equipment provided by partners protects the Ukrainian skies from the winged missiles of Russian terrorists," read the comment on Facebook.

“This time it is an impeccable work by the German cheetah.

Thank you.” A Ukrainian and German flag was shown as a dot.

However, it is unclear when and where the video was taken.

The authenticity of the clip also remained unconfirmed.

Ukraine War: So far 30 Gepard tanks from Germany

Ukraine has already received 30 Gepard anti-aircraft tanks from the stocks of the manufacturer Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW).

In addition, the delivery of seven more Gepard tanks was announced last Friday in Berlin.

Unusually humorously, Ukraine recently expressed its desire for more arms and tank deliveries in a Twitter video - in a remodeled Edeka commercial.

Since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression at the end of February, Germany has delivered weapons and military equipment to Ukraine worth almost two billion euros.
