With the participation of 25 women, the activities of the “Made with Love” bazaar, which is being held by the Syrian Trust for Development, the “Community Lighthouse of Tal”, were launched today, as part of a 16-day campaign to combat violence against women in the cultural center in the city of Tal.

The two-day bazaar, with the participation of Manarat Barza, the Association for the Relief of the Poor in Al-Tal, the Committee for Supporting Productive Families and the Anmar Center, aims to support productive women and their financial independence and enhance their role in society.

A number of participants in the bazaar confirmed to SANA reporter that the support they received from the Secretariat was an incentive to develop their skills and establish micro-projects that varied between creams, serums, shampoos, handicrafts, crochet, accessories, mosaics, mortar, sweets, paintings, mosaics, and other products that made them able to help their families and improve their its economic status.

Sawsan Bayrakdar, who participated in crocheting and dolls, and was one of those who underwent training in Manarat al-Tal, which helped her establish her project, and began production and marketing operations through her Facebook page. She confirmed that her participation provided her with a broader opportunity to market her product, while Nermin Haj indicated It is good that she participated in a training set up by the Secretariat to teach making a friendly doll by knitting wool, and she was able to master this profession and market her product, which helped her to improve her income.

Director of Manarat al-Tal, Ali Barakat, confirmed that Manara seeks, through the support it provides to women, whether through training or grants, to improve their status and push them to establish private businesses that empower them economically, pointing out that bazaars are among the means that the Municipality has been keen to expand through its community beacons, to enable Women to communicate with the community directly and open new markets for them.
