At the foot of the Alps, in the Annecy basin, in the heart of the Grand-Épagny commercial area in Épagny Metz-Tessy (Haute-Savoie): this is where the pods arrive directly from Cameroon.

In 2021, behind the small adjoining Cocoa Valley shop, the company's laboratories with 20 employees saw 115 tonnes of beans pass through.

They have been sorted and transformed to become pucks, nuggets, bars or spreads.

The company's sign, created in 2018, recalls the itinerary of the beans:

"Live from our plantations".

"Before being a chocolate maker, I was a planter"

, says the founder, Serges Ngassa, 44 years old.

It was through a humanitarian project for the construction of a hospital south of Yaoundé for Doctors Without Borders that he met his future wife Carine.

She was a nurse, he was a logistician for the NGO.

Both are now both cocoa producers in Cameroon and chocolate artisans in Haute-Savoie.
