China's zero-Covid policy has begun to crumble in recent days amid protests in the country.
The People's Republic is now significantly relaxing the corona rules: In Beijing, the State Council announced a new ten-point plan to ease quarantine, PCR tests and lockdowns.
The national health authority reports that infected people with no or only mild symptoms can remain in home quarantine.
The country also wants to reduce the scope and frequency of corona tests.
A clear sign that China is preparing its population for life with the virus.
"Asymptomatic people and mild cases can be isolated at home while health surveillance is stepped up, and they can be transferred to designated hospitals for treatment in a timely manner if their condition worsens," the NHC said.
