Today, the Nigerian authorities announced the elimination of dozens of militants during security operations in Kaduna state, in the north of the country.
Xinhua quoted the Kaduna Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Arwan, as saying in a statement: Dozens of militants were killed and wounded during military operations that took place in the forests in the state's Giwa district.
Nigeria has witnessed a number of militant attacks in recent months, killing and kidnapping many people.
