Eppur revolutionizes wheelchair braking

From January, Dreeft, the first pair of wheels equipped with a brake system for manual wheelchairs, designed by the start-up, will be launched at around a hundred medical product retailers in France.

", for Colin Gallois, who has been working on this innovation for six years.

Beyond the deployment of Dreeft, which is compatible with 90% of the 370,000 manual wheelchairs used in France, the 30-year-old is aiming for international expansion.

Already crowned with numerous prizes, including a double in November during the Handitech Trophy (Mobility for All prize, and People's Choice prize), the Breton also distinguished himself in Germany, during the Rehacare fair in Düsseldorf, in September.
