The value of sales of Al-Waleed Spinning Company in Homs during the past months of this year amounted to 4 billion and 600 million pounds of cotton and mixed yarns for the public and private sectors, as explained by the company's director, Eng. Muhammad Hammoud.
Hammoud told SANA reporter: The company currently has a stock of yarn that weighs about 922 tons, and its value is estimated at about 22 billion pounds, noting that the decision to allow the sale to the private sector of some items and specific quantities of yarn had a positive impact by increasing sales from the company's stocks.
He pointed out that the production of cotton and blended yarns is continuing in the two factories of the company currently, where 472 tons were produced during the current year, of which 215 are blended yarns and 257 cotton yarns that secure the needs of textile companies and the continuation of their work.
He added: With the expertise of the company's technical cadres, the infrastructure of the air-conditioning devices and steam boiler maintenance is currently being rehabilitated, in addition to the complete maintenance of the machines, indicating that the instability and interruption of the electric current negatively affects the proper functioning of the production process, and the safety of the machines, especially the electronic parts. .
