Political instability seems to have no end in Peru.
President Pedro Castillo temporarily dissolved the Peruvian Congress before parliament began another process for a vacancy motion against the president, who has not even served a year and a half in his post.
Castillo said that he will call elections for the Constituent Assembly and that it will be governed by decree law.
Similarly, he indicated that a curfew will be imposed from 12 pm this Wednesday.
The motion of no confidence hearing was to take place this December 7 at around 2 pm local time.
Castillo had to respond to the accusation made by the Legislature of having "permanent moral incapacity" to govern, for the third time since he took office in July 2021.
Before closing Congress, President Castillo had said this Tuesday that what those who are promoting this impeachment trial against him want is to "dynamit democracy and disregard the right to choose" of Peruvians, in addition to wanting to "take advantage and take the power that the people took away from them at the ballot box".

The National Intelligence Directorate reports to the president and is attached to the presidency of the Council of Ministers.
CNN contacted the Government Palace to obtain its version, but has not yet received a response.
However, in a statement from the Government Palace this Tuesday night, Castillo said that he is not corrupt and that despite what a former official says "he would never betray my people."
This Wednesday, Congress will vote for the third time on a vacancy motion that seeks to remove the president from power due to "permanent moral incapacity."
