Message from Pedro Castillo on the temporary closure of the Peruvian Congress and calls for elections

In a national chain message, the president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, announced the temporary closure of Congress.

In addition, he said that he would call elections to prepare a new Constitution within a period of no more than nine months and that, as of today, it will be governed by decree law.
