Syria is participating in the first session of the Abu Dhabi International Food Fair through a pavilion organized by the General Organization for International Exhibitions and Fairs, which included nine leading companies in the field of food industries.

In a statement to SANA, the director of the Foundation, Ghassan Fakiani, explained that the exhibition opened its activities yesterday at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center in the United Arab Emirates, and the Syrian pavilion extends over an area of ​​126 square meters, where the nine participating companies display various local products, indicating that 445 specialized Arab and international companies participate in the exhibition. from 41 countries around the world.

Fakiani pointed out that on the sidelines of the exhibition, a number of competitions will be held, including the competition for the best product of coffee, honey and dates, where the Syrian Haseeb Food Industry Company topped the list of contestants, and won the award for the most innovative coffee product through the golden category.

The exhibition, which will conclude its activities tomorrow, includes a number of dialogue sessions focusing on 3 main axes: food security, investments and innovation in food production, and industry in the field of food and beverages.

The first edition of the exhibition will also host the “Adive Innovation Awards”, which is a platform that allows displaying the world’s most innovative and distinguished products in the food and beverage sector, as it provides visitors with the opportunity to keep pace with new global trends, realizing the role of investment in innovation and shaping the future of the sector. The exhibition activities also include a program “Global Buyers”, which aims to strengthen and support partnerships with the supply chain and secure new products, in addition to providing an opportunity to meet suppliers and conclude new business deals.
