The parish church in Dietramszell is now barrier-free.
Dean Thomas Neuberger inaugurated the new entrance on the first Sunday of Advent.
Dietramszell – In order to make it easier for people with disabilities, older fellow citizens with walkers, but also for mothers with prams to enter the Dietramszell church, barrier-free access was created on the side of the church as part of the forecourt renovation.
A ramp leads to an electric door opener embedded in the wall, which makes access to the church even easier.
As part of the service on the first Advent, Dean Thomas Neuberger inaugurated the new entrance together with the congregation.

For the construction work, the former front building was demolished and replaced with a roof.
"However, the final completion of the access is still delayed," explained Neuberger.
The slabs ran out during the work on the open space, at the moment gravel is still heaped up in front of the ramp.
In addition, the screed on the inside and outside door did not set so quickly.
"And without a finished floor, the wall cladding cannot be attached," the pastor continues.
Precisely because everything goes hand in hand with such work, the remaining work is pushed back a little.
But he was in good spirits that everything would be settled by Christmas.
A good 95 percent of the costs are covered by the professorship.
"Accessibility," emphasizes Neuberger, "is also a big issue for churches."
