In a press release on Monday, December 5, the Traffic Police Inspectorate in Rosenheim reported an accident that occurred around 11 a.m. on the same day.

Shortly before, several emergency calls reached the control center, according to which a free-roaming dog was staying on the A8 near Frasdorf, in the Rosenheim district.

Then there was a collision: A 47-year-old drove her car on the left lane, the dog was on the right lane.

Shortly before she passed him, he ran into the left lane - and forced the driver to slam on the brakes, police reports.

A 25-year-old driver behind the 47-year-old could not brake in time and crashed into the car in front of her.

The young woman from the district of Munich was slightly injured.

Her 29-year-old partner and her 1-year-old child were also in the vehicle.

All three were taken to a hospital.

The 47-year-old was unharmed.

The stray dog ​​was then captured, reports the Rosenheim Traffic Police Inspectorate.

Although this was chipped, the owner could not be found at first.

A photo was also sent in the press release and witnesses were called on to come forward.

The bitch has since been handed over to the Rosenheim animal shelter, which contacted users via Facebook to find the owner.

And indeed: The (supposed) owner reported in the comment column under the post – this cannot be checked at the moment.

However, the signs speak for it: A user posted a photo of the bitch and wrote shortly afterwards: "Good evening, I am the owner, the dog is healthy and will be home tomorrow".

In their press release, the police finally warns: "Even if it appears that the dog caused the traffic accident, you can't blame it." After all, he couldn't read the traffic ordinance.

The principle that drivers must keep the minimum distance still applies.
