Regensburg police officers found a seriously injured 19-year-old man in a residential building.
The criminal police and the public prosecutor's office assume external influence.
Regensburg – A police operation is currently taking place on Frankenstraße in Regensburg after an injured man was found in a residential building in the morning, according to a press release.
On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at around 10.45 a.m., the Regensburg police received a message about an injured person in an apartment building on Frankenstraße.
The hint was confirmed.
On site, emergency services found a seriously injured 19-year-old man.
He was immediately driven to a hospital by the called emergency services and is being treated there.
Police and prosecutors suspect serious bodily harm by previously unknown perpetrators
How the young man suffered the injuries is not yet clear.
Therefore, the Criminal Police Inspectorate in Regensburg, together with the public prosecutor's office, started the investigation on site.
Because the police are assuming external influence, emergency services cordoned off the residential building and are looking for possible suspects and evidence.
Detectives also secure traces that can provide information about the course of events.
Forces from various police departments are deployed.
The streets are still open to traffic.
However, onlookers lead to slight traffic delays.
Gaffers are increasingly becoming a problem for the police and emergency services, as was the case on the A6 in mid-October.
Further information is currently not possible in view of the ongoing investigations.
