The Shared Foundation, chaired by Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and former Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying, launched a project to eliminate cataract blindness in Prey Veng Province, Kingdom of Cambodia yesterday (6th). Plenipotentiary Ambassador Wang Wentian attended the launching ceremony.

The project will complete 10,000 surgeries for free in the next 3 years.
Leung Chun-ying said: "Under the Belt and Road Initiative, the Sharing Foundation will aim to provide impactful assistance measures to meet the humanitarian aid and health needs of developing countries. We cooperate with local partners to promote projects and promote the relationship between China and project countries. 9-person Guangxi medical team provides services
The foundation dispatched two fully equipped mobile eye surgery vehicles that can complete cataract surgery within 25 minutes.
The 9-member Guangxi medical team that provides the service has rich experience. It has performed free cataract surgery for local people in Kampong Cham, Kingdom of Cambodia, and Van Team, the capital of Laos.
The Foundation also cooperates with the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia to provide medical and health services.
