Tobogganing in NRW: There are toboggan runs not only in the Eifel and Sauerland.
You can also go tobogganing in Oberhausen and Düsseldorf.
24RHEIN provides an overview.
Cologne - The snow was already there in NRW - and because of the weather phenomenon "Arctic Outbreak" there is probably more to come.
In the Bergisches Land, in the Eifel and in the Sauerland, there were slippery roads and the first snowfalls over the weekend.
While for some the snow means chaos, for others the first snow also means: unpack the sled and get out into the fresh air.
There are numerous toboggan runs in North Rhine-Westphalia.
In addition to the Bergisches Land and the Eifel, there are also slopes in the Ruhr area and the Rhineland.
Weather phenomenon “Arctic Outbreak”
An ice-cold polar air moves to Germany.
Heavy snow and freezing temperatures are expected to last for several days.
Meteorologists from the DWD even speak of a so-called "Arctic Outbreak", an advance of arctic cold air.
