After a two-year break, the Dachau audience can finally look forward to a festive folk music Christmas concert in the royal palace of Dachau.

With Christmas songs and tunes, Advent thoughts and stories about the staad'n time on the eve of the third Advent, on Saturday, December 17th, at 7 p.m., the popular presenter and hostess of the BR "tavern musicians" Traudi Siferlinger invites you to a traditional "Alpine Christmas" in the Renaissance ballroom.

A revelation of warmth and joie de vivre, that's how many feel the moderation by Traudi Siferlinger.

The tireless mediator of Bavarian folk music has long since chatted, yodelled and played her way into the hearts of countless television viewers and radio listeners - on BR television with the 'Wirtshausmusikanten', on BR-Heimat in 'Feierabend'.

The evening will be accompanied by three of the most well-known folk music groups in the Alpine region.

Colorful and multifaceted, Karl Edelmann and his musicians play around the themes of Advent: hope and confidence.

The unique harmony of violin, harp, dulcimer and double bass as well as clarinet and bassoon make it stand out, its fine mixture of alpine folk music and classical courtly chamber music of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Alpine singing tradition in the dialect sound of the Pustertal allows the Oberhöller family song to sound authentic.

Stangerlgrad Sepp Oberhöller sings the songs.

It's no wonder that the grand seigneur of folk music once studied with the Upper Bavarian 'song father' Kiem Pauli and has dedicated his life entirely to singing for eight decades now.

The Grassauer Weisenbläser-Duo exudes a golden glow with devotional yodels and atmospheric tunes.

Lothar Beyschlag and Markus Riepertinger interpret Bavarian melody sensitively and powerfully on flugelhorn and trumpet.

When the devotional yodel begins at the end, the magnificent Renaissance coffered ceiling seems to open up to the starry sky and then Christmas Eve can come at the latest.

The DACHAUER RUNDSCHAU is giving away 3x2 tickets.

If you want to win, you have to fill out the competition form by 12 noon on Wednesday, December 14th.

The key word is "Alpine Christmas" and your own family name.
