Three brothers overcame their disabilities by excelling in sports in several games, with the encouragement and attention of their families, coaches, and the Syrian Special Olympics Foundation.

Waad, Sana and Wassim Mezher participated in many private tournaments and scored good results in them. Waad won first place in bocce sport in a regional tournament in the United Arab Emirates in 2018, and advanced positions in many local tournaments, while Wassim and Sana won second place in weightlifting in the only local tournament. that have been shared so far.

Waad, 27, started with bocce at the age of 10, under the supervision of Nizar Abu Ras, the organizing officer for the Special Olympics in Suwayda, and coach Randa Al-Khatib, while Sana, 24, and Wassim, 23, started weightlifting four years ago under the supervision of coach Sawsan Al-Bunni, after they were practicing judo, according to Their mother mentioned Amira Mezher.

During her speech to SANA, Mezher showed how she found sports as a source to unload the energy of her children and achieve comfort for them, noting that the support they received from those in charge of training and their response and achievement of championships encouraged her to take more care of them and accompany them permanently to training and tournaments, with the aim of creating a sporting future for them.

And the three brothers, according to the trainer at the Syrian Special Olympics Foundation in As-Suwayda, Sawsan Al-Bunni, possessed the will and determination, achieved sporting success, and recorded good numbers in relation to their categories and health status, noting the clear commitment by them to the training and the extent of great follow-up by their families who care about the smallest details of their lives, and present them in the best way in social terms. And morality in addition to sports.

Abu Ras stated that the three brothers represent a title of excellence in their categories and belong to a family that loves sports and cares for them, pointing out that their technical level is developing successively thanks to the coaches' interest in them, which qualifies them for wider participation in foreign tournaments during the coming period.
