Gräfelfing – Since 2016, the community foundation Gräfelfing has been running a special campaign during the Advent season: the “wish tree” is intended to bring fellow citizens who are in need, needy or alone together with those who would like to do something good.
The "wish fulfillment" will run until January 9 next year.
In the first week, 32 wishes were received, of which the first seven could be fulfilled immediately.
Anyone who would like to participate can either "pick" one of the cards directly in the town hall or have their wishes displayed digitally on the municipality's homepage.
Small and large wishes are fulfilled
The Advent season is the time of helping.
A wishing tree from the Graefelfing community foundation in the foyer of the town hall helps to fulfill both small and large wishes: from a poinsettia to chocolate to a warm winter coat, from shopping vouchers to a used laptop (golden wish list for material wishes).
Time requests are also possible, for example someone to talk to or help with repairing the car (red wish list).
Requests are submitted and coordinated in room 5 of the town hall (contact person is Ms. Dilber Altin).
"Especially in these times of crisis with the increased energy prices, many families really only have enough for the bare essentials.
It is our concern to make the Christmas season a little brighter for those who are in the shade," emphasizes Mayor Peter Köstler on the campaign.

Associated with this is a call to all those who lack the money in their wallets to fulfill even small wishes.
Or who want some time, someone to listen to or things to do.
You can also register in the town hall during opening hours in room 5 or by email to d.altin@graefelfing.bayern.de.
