The scholar Muhammad Kurd Ali was one of the most active writers in Damascus in the first half of the twentieth century. He was the one who loved Damascus with his love of Arabism and its language. He was the first to establish an Arab scientific academy in Syria and the Arab world in 1919 and continued to preside over this academy until his departure in 1953.

In appreciation of his cultural, literary and scientific importance, a booklet prepared by the writer Siraj Al-Jarrad was published by the Creative Media Series. The Arabs, and his biography is a wonderful example of the light of determination, sincerity of intention, sincerity of work, love of goodness, and the will to reform.

In his book issued by the Syrian General Book Authority, which is within 78 pages of small pieces, the writer reviewed the most important literary, scientific and intellectual achievements in addition to his writings and his love for the Arabic language and his defense of it, as he was considered one of the most loyal to it.

Regarding his work in the media, the author explained that the scholar “Kurd Ali” wrote in Al-Muqtataf magazine for five years, and he visited Egypt in 1901 to take over the editor-in-chief of Al-Raed Al-Masry magazine.

It is noteworthy that the author, Siraj Al-Jarrad, was born in Deir Ezzor in 1973. He holds a degree in Arabic literature and is a member of the Arab Writers Union. He is a researcher specializing in children’s literature. He has published in a number of Arab and local periodicals, winning many literary awards. He has many books, including the songs of Maysoon and Mermaid.
