Bennett after Shaked admitted to "mistakes": "Whoever says that the establishment of the government was a mistake - in post-trauma" (Niv Aharonson)
Myrna Bennett, the mother of former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, justified her son's campaign of lawsuits against journalists and tweeters, who allegedly spread lies about him during his tenure.
"I don't know if it's possible to change lies that go deep, but I'm very proud that he's doing it," she said in an interview on 103FM.
It was spread about Bennett's mother that she is not Jewish.
"When it first came out six months ago, I was in a big market," she recalled.
"I thought about my parents who came to the United States from Poland and Russia because of pogroms, and half of their families remained in the hands of the Nazis. At first I thought it was something strange that would pass, and now I understand that everything is becoming a fact for people who want to believe it."
"Very proud of him."

Mirna said that the lie began to seep through.
"People who know me called and said things like, 'Well done, we didn't know you converted.' I said, 'If I were a convert, I would be proud of it, but I'm not.'"
She also added that someone told her granddaughter's wife, a sister in Hadassah, that "Bennett took all the state's money and he is not Jewish at all."
According to her, "Then I realized it was deep."
Mirna estimated that there is a deliberate hand behind the rumors.
"I don't believe that things like this can suddenly happen," she admitted.
She said that her son talked to her and asked for her consent before filing the charges.
"We said in the family that we wouldn't do anything bigger than that, but now I think it's important," she concluded.
