The board of directors of the Child Protection Association in the district of Starnberg led by Dr.

Gunhild Kilian-Kornell is confirmed in office at a meeting.

The association wants to expand its range of services to deal with the consequences of the pandemic for children and young people.

Starnberg

– The Starnberg Child Protection Association (DKSB) was able to hold a general meeting again after a two-year break due to corona.

Continuity was the keyword when the new board was elected.

For the first time, the club leadership was elected as a team and will take on the tasks for the next four years, the child protection association announced afterwards.

The chair remains the pediatrician Dr.

Gunhild Kilian-Kornell, who is highly valued by the members of the association for her tireless commitment.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of Management was Dr.

Ute Eiling-Hütig re-elected.

Monika Hindemith as secretary and Anton Modl as treasurer also continue their work.

Ulrike Albrecht and Paul Jäger continue to act as assessors.

"We are very happy about the continuity of the board work, which has accompanied the association safely and reliably through the turbulent Corona years.

In particular, we would like to thank Dr.

Kilian Kornell and Dr.

Eiling-Hütig, who have been leading and supporting the association for ten years," explained Martina Rusch, the educational director of the child protection association.

After amendment of the statutes: children can become members

The amended statute now allows children and young people to become members of the child protection association and thus help to shape the lobbying work for children and children's rights.

Membership is free for them.

A membership application from a six-year-old girl has already been received.

In order to gradually work through the serious consequences of the pandemic for children and young people, the child protection association is planning to significantly expand the range of services offered by the family center in Starnberg.

Due to the relaxed hygiene measures, many projects and offers are possible again, the need and interest are great.

"There is a great team in the office that shows commitment every day and often goes beyond the daily tasks.

The DKSB is thus on a solid footing and can devote itself to the various projects with the necessary workload.

The work is fun again and is valued in the district.

That encourages,” emphasized Kilian-Kornell.
