According to Munich Airport, one of the two runways at the airport has been closed because of the climate protest.

According to an airport spokesman, activists have glued themselves to the runway north of the airport.

Disruptions in air traffic are to be expected.

Munich – Numerous police officers went to Munich Airport on Thursday morning (December 8) for a major operation.

A police spokesman was initially unable to provide details.

Eyewitnesses reported that several people blocked a runway.

Apparently, the activists had destroyed a fence and got onto the site.
