For years, the municipality of Unterhaching has been considering building a craftsman's farm.

Based on a feasibility study, three possible locations were identified and prioritized using a point system.

Unterhaching

- First place was the former tennis courts of TC Unterhaching, next to the cemetery on Ottobrunner Straße - after a quarrel between the club and the owners, the area has been idle for over four years.

Because the property owners are not interested in a craftsman's yard, the municipality is now turning its location table upside down.

The proposal by the Free Voters to re-plan the current mixture of parking lot and rubbish dump at the bend in Grünwalder Weg to become a craftsman's yard slipped from third to first place.

The option north of Ottobrunner Strasse (between Develey and the Autobahn) favored by the Greens remains in second place.

The building committee passed corresponding resolutions.

TCU terrain not an option

Because the human resources in the town hall are scarce, explained community spokesman Simon Hötzl, it is important to "capture on one location".

His request to the local politicians: "We need your guidelines for the process to be started." In order to tackle this as economically as possible, he named possible obstacles - due to the lack of willingness of the owners on the former TCU site, they were so high that there were no It makes sense to continue pursuing this actually favored position.

The fact that the property owner "wants to develop the site relatively quickly at his own expense" speaks in favor of the location on Grünwalder Weg, as FWU boss Alfons Hofstetter explained.

The problem there is the so-called separating green, as the technical term goes: Neighboring municipalities should not grow together, but remain spatially distinguishable from one another through undeveloped areas.

But because Unterhaching on Grünwalder Weg has already built an industrial area directly in front of the northern municipal border of Taufkirchen, a separating zone should remain at least beyond this shopping street - a craftsman's yard there could disrupt exactly this basic idea of the regional planning association.

"That's not exactly trivial," says Simon Hötzl.

"The state development plan provides for clear brands here."

Location on Ottobrunner Strasse also not free

The second place among the locations is also not free of reservations: the area on Ottobrunner Straße is partly in the fresh air corridor, and Unterhaching also has plans for open-space voltaics here.

"We finally need a directional decision for the next 20 years," demands the CSU parliamentary group leader, Korbinian Rausch.

Grünwalder Weg or Ottobrunner Straße?

The building commissioners of the municipalities should now finally lash down their premise among themselves.
