A seriously injured woman (52) was found in an apartment in Düsseldorf.
Her son is suspected of attacking her with a knife.
Düsseldorf – After a knife attack in Düsseldorf, a murder commission is investigating.
A 27-year-old man is said to have attacked and seriously injured his 52-year-old mother in an apartment in Flingern on Wednesday morning.
The son was arrested shortly after the crime.

Police and public prosecutors in Düsseldorf are now investigating suspected attempted manslaughter, reports 24RHEIN.
According to the investigators, neighbors had alerted the police on Wednesday morning because there had been a loud argument in an apartment on Edisonplatz in Flingern.
When the police arrived, the apartment was open.
In the apartment, the emergency services found the seriously injured 52-year-old mother.
They immediately provided first aid.
"Danger to life could not be ruled out at times," reports the police.
The police officers found the 27-year-old suspect son in the hallway on the upper floor.
He was unarmed and could be overpowered.
However, the man put up considerable resistance when being transported to the station.
A blood sample was taken from him because investigators suspect drugs or alcohol may have been involved.
The son is due to be brought before a magistrate today.
The police have not yet provided any information about the background to the crime.
