As of 0:00 am today, a total of 3,248 confirmed patients have been hospitalized, of which 452 are newly admitted patients, compared to 13.9% of the total number of hospitalized patients; 12 critical patients and 22 serious patients were newly reported, bringing the total number of critically ill patients to 171 , 20 critically ill patients are receiving intensive care.

The Hospital Authority also pointed out that 3,248 confirmed patients were hospitalized in public hospitals yesterday.
Among the confirmed patients staying in the hospital, 452 were newly confirmed patients, 2,180 needed to be admitted to isolation facilities, 354 were receiving oxygen therapy, and 29 needed ventilators to assist breathing.
A total of 12 critical and 22 serious confirmed patients were newly reported. At present, a total of 76 critical and 95 serious confirmed patients are hospitalized, and 20 critical patients are receiving intensive treatment.
In the past day, 384 confirmed patients recovered and 311 patients were discharged.
In addition, 27 new confirmed patients died in public hospitals.
According to the preliminary data of the past week analyzed by the Hospital Authority, about 63% of the confirmed patients admitted to the emergency department were admitted to the hospital due to a confirmed diagnosis, and about 37% were admitted to the hospital due to other medical reasons.
As for the confirmed patients who passed away, about 70% were more likely to be related to the new coronavirus, and about 30% died of other diseases.
The HA will continue to analyze the relevant data and provide appropriate services in light of the actual situation and needs of patients.
Currently, the overall occupancy rate of medical beds in acute hospitals is about 103%.
In response to the increase in confirmed cases in the community, the HA will continue to strengthen the seven designated clinics for confirmed cases (designated clinics) and telediagnosis services to provide medical support for confirmed patients in the community.
